Student Life

Pre-Kindergarten

OLQA’s Early Childhood program fosters independence, social development, and school-readiness, while introducing crucial literacy, math, and science concepts and skills so students hit the ground running in kindergarten. With individual help from their teachers, OLQA’s first and second grade students succeed in an important job: becoming independent readers, mathematicians, and scientists. At OLQA, the middle school years focus on preparation for high school, college, and beyond. Math comes to life through real-world applications. Students build ELA skills including development of writing mechanics emphasizing structure, vocabulary, and detail. Through the Friends of Nick program, the oldest students build habits of integrity, kindness, and hard work. Through workshops and one-on-one counseling, OLQA’s pioneering High School Placement Program exposes students to a range of high school options, prepares them for high school entrance tests, assists families with the application process, and connects students to leadership and enrichment opportunities.
