Teacher Spotlight on Mr. Beller

December 16, 2013

Mr. Beller is the 8th grade homeroom teacher and teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Grammar and Composition, Social Studies, and Religion. Outside school, he is a sports aficionado and history buff. He has run the Chicago marathon and is an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Hailing from Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Beller knew from a young age he was meant to be a teacher. He came to New York City to study at Fordham University, where he received his B.A. in History and M.A. in Secondary School Education.

Mr. Beller has found a second home at OLQA, where he values our faith-based education.
Fittingly, he spearheads our Friends of Nick chapter. This program delivers a series of character-building workshops for 8th graders and their parents. As he said, “It is really important to me to educate the whole child – that’s why I’m so happy to be here at OLQA.”
