Principal's Letter

December 16, 2013

Dear Friends,

The 2013-14 school year is off to a great start! First and foremost, the Partnership for Inner-City Education has become an integral part of the school community. This expanded relationship promises to be one that strengthens our ability to serve our children and families.

OLQA continues to embrace opportunities that enhance the school experience of our students. Everyone arrived in September to find a newly renovated reception area which brightened our physical space. We continue to take advantage of the local East Harlem resources through programs at the New York Public
Library and weekly tennis lessons at Randall’s Island. Our strong relationships with the Franciscan Sisters and St. Cecilia Parish enrich our faith-based program. These experiences continue to support the hard work of the teachers who set high expectations, working long hours to ensure that our academic
program is of the highest quality.

OLQA is blessed with a strong community of students, parents, teachers and friends. Thank you for your support of OLQA and our “angels.” May your 2014 be filled with joy!

Sincerely,
Joanne Walsh
